Expanding Your Horizons NAIL ART STUDIO Unless you've been hiding under a rock, you probably already know that nail art is everywhere right now. Gone are the days when clients were content with a solid color coating. Today's clients love to try new things. And the great news for you is that means extra income and the opportunity to be more creative. But don't worry if you aren't a natural-born artist; a few easy designs can be created with the help of these tutorials. Embellished Color Block 1 2 Leopard's Changing Spots 4 3 1 Hyun Jin Nam, Ku's Nail Spa, New York City 1. Polish one-third of the nail pastel pink and two-thirds pastel blue. 2. Use dark brown polish to draw a thick horizontal line where the two colors meet. Draw two thin guide lines where you want your thinner horizontal lines to be. 3. Use dark brown polish to complete the guide lines, making one thicker than the other. 4. Apply a thin layer of Light Elegance (LE) Gel-Polish in White Art. Cure for two minutes. 2. Dip a striping brush in LE Gel-Polish in Soda Pop Pink, then apply it in a diagonal line. Clean the brush. Do the same with LE Gel-Polish in Blue Gumball, then with Neon Green, then Hula Hoop Orange, then Electric Yellow. 3. Drag the striping brush from eponychium to free edge, cleaning the brush after each drag. Cure for two minutes.
