BY BRITTNI RUBIN > Adorned with colorful throw pillows, visual art purchased at local galleries, antique carpets, and a rare book collection, Luna D'Oro looks like your friend's boho-chic living room. The personal and eclectic décor is forever fluctuating — almost everything visible is also for sale. A pedicure becomes a chance to go shopping from the comfort of a plush armchair. (Or better yet, take the chair home with you!) > Luna D'Oro is one of the first salons in the U.S. to ofer Australian-made Christina Fitzgerald nail and skincare products. The staf goes through a training program conducted by the brand as well. > To the ladies of Luna D'Oro, maintaining healthy natural nails is important. Most services ofered are waterless, and from reflexology to Reiki, each nail tech has a therapeutic specialty. They all complete additional training with a local podiatrist too. The salon is known for its 90-minute Japanese manicure, which features a collection of serums to aid diferent types of nail damage and doesn't use colored polish or metal implements. > Luxury is critical, explained salon manager Yulia Dremina. "One of our main goals is to provide a luxurious experience and to make people feel beautiful, treated, and healthy," she said. During treatments, clients get Russian candies and iPads to play with. A complimentary cofee station and full wet bar are also available — champagne is a standard request.
