STYLE} A Cornucopia of Thanks Thanksgiving is celebrated by taking time out of our busy lives to sit down with loved ones and share a meal. It's a time to slow down and to be thankful. The cornucopia (or horn of plenty) is a symbol of abundance and nourishment and is a common sight at Thanksgiving tables across the United States. Here's how seven nail techs interpret the cornucopia and what Thanksgiving means to them. Kamisha Winfield The Polished Stone Mobile Spa, Augusta, Ga. Thanksgiving to me includes the love of my family and friends. We have been through a tremendous time this year, and the simple things now seem so big to us. From being able to have a place to stay, to having a prosperous career, I am truly thankful for what God has allowed us to have. Kathleen M.M. Ringwood-Wood My Nails Rock!, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Thanksgiving means family. We live in the house I grew up in, and I make my mother's turkey and dressing. We sit at my grandmother's 160-year old dining room every holiday. Isabella Bourque Nails by Bella, Templeton, Mass. Thanksgiving is a great time to gather with my family and loved ones and appreciate the joy and happiness they bring me. 112 | NAILS MAGAZINE | NOVEMBER 2013 PHOTOGRAPHY BY KIMBERLY PHAM
