APRIL 2014 | NAILS MAGAZINE | 103 Earth Day Nails 1. Apply base coat and two coats of blue. 2. Trace a circle (the globe) in the center of the nail. For a more accurate circle, you can make four small dots, and then connect the dots using a black striper. 3. With a green striper, paint continents inside the circle. Using a royal blue striper, fi ll in the spaces around the continents to form the oceans. 4. With the same royal blue striper, write the word "Love," curving it above the globe. Write the word "Her" underneath the globe. Allow to dry, and apply a top coat. Sam Rivenbank, Tarheel Tanning and Spa, Eure, N.C. Easter Bunny Nails 1. Cover the nail with pastel blue glitter. 2. Sculpt the base of the bunny using white acrylic paint. Start with a large round pearl for the face and two smaller beads for the ears. 3. Paint eyes, whiskers, and pink cheeks on the bunny, and add a tiny 3-D nose. Sculpt a small bow with pink acrylic and attach it to the bunny's ear with clear acrylic or glue. Seal with top coat. Paint the nail red, using a gel-polish like Artistic Colour Gloss in Hotzy. 2. Using a very small dotter and Artistic Colour Gloss in Purity, paint "C" shaped petals to create the rose. 3.
