GHOST TOWN Kristin Szilagyi, The Hair Tailors, Clark, N.J. The designs are hand-painted using water-based acrylic paints. For a full set, Szilagyi charges $25 and it takes her about 30 minutes to create the designs. GLOW-IN-THE-DARK SPOOKY EYES Ana Seidel, Finely Finished, LLC., Olympia, Wash. www.simplenailarttips.com For this design, Seidel used neon acrylic paints, glow-in-the-dark paint, dotting tools, and a small paintbrush to make the corners of the eyes and brows. Each nail takes two to fi ve minutes, but drying time is necessary between the layers of dots. She would charge $1 per nail of just neon or $2 per nail for neon and glow-in-the-dark paints. CALICO HALLOWEEN HAUNT NAILS Lucia Etchamendy, Lucia's Hair and Nail Salon, Hesperia, Calif. This design took approximately two hours to build and encase all of the art into the nails. Etchamendy used a mold for the large stars, crosses, and rubber skull stickers. She charges anywhere from $37 to $45 for this design. N PUMPKIN LANTERN Yona Duvauchelle, Y Nails, Concon and Vina del Mar, Valparaiso, Chile This design took a little over an hour to complete. Duvauchelle used an orange base, made some lines with a nail art striper in gold glitter, and then drew the face with a black nail art striper. She charges about $14 for doing the design on all 10 nails. 94 | NAILS MAGAZINE | OCTOBER 2012
