TECHNIQUE } Holiday Nail Art How-to Glitter Snowfl akes 1. Apply black acrylic as a base. 2. Apply blue glitter. 3. Add white icicles. 4. Make snowfl akes using a nail art stencil. 5. Apply rhinestones in the center of snowfl akes and apply top coat. Belinda Telles, Las Cruces, New Mexico Santa and His Penguin 1. Paint a beige background with a red tip French with a fl at smile line. 2. Make two black dots for the nose and two black dots for the cheeks. 3. Fill in the beard, eyebrows, and hat with white, and add a smile. 4. On a blue background paint a white elongated oval for the belly, and two eyes. 5. Apply black dots into the eyes and a small inverted yellow triangle outlined on the bottom in black for the beak. Stiletto Icicles 1. Apply Nubar Infi nity Cover Peach acrylic to the nail bed. Thinly apply Nubar Infi nity Ultra White and Crystalline about halfway down the nail. 2. Add Infi nity Blue Pansy and Crystalline to create a fade from the smile line into the white. Cover the entire design with Infi nity Clear. Shape. 3. Using white paint and a small brush paint one or two snowfl akes on the nail bed. Using Nubar Infi nity Ultra White and Crystalline sculpt a snowfl ake onto an Arabella form. 4. With Nubar's Infi nity Hard Builder Gel in clear, push drops to the tip one at a time and cure 45 seconds between each droplet. When the desired eff ect is reached, cure for the full two minutes. 5. Seal with Infi nity Gel Top Coat Sealer. Remove the snowfl ake from the Arabella form, and attach it with glue or a clear acrylic ball. >>> Shannon McCown, Portland, Ore.
