SHIELD IT! POLISHIELD 3-in-1 topcoat bullet proofs your nail lacquer for lasting shine with a protected finish. All Dolled Up 1 2 3 Carmen Hayward, Amore Ultima Gel user and owner of All Dolled Up Salon in Invermere, British Columbia, Canada, has an interesting technique for using nail art foils to add some shimmer to her sharp and sleek stiletto designs. Here's how you can do the same. Step 1: Prep and apply Amore Ultima Bonder, then Amore Ultima Sculpt & Shine to create your base structure. Cure and then remove your form. This allows you to have a clear view of the art you will apply. Step 2: Apply two foil colors of your choice to the nail by pressing the back side of the foil on the section of the nail you wish to apply it to. Pull the foil off in a smooth, quick motion. Amore Ultima Sculpt & Shine leaves a nice dispersion layer that the foil will adhere to. orlybeauty.com 800.275.1111 AVAILABLE AT SALLY BEAUTY, SALONS, PROFESSIONAL BEAUTY SUPPLY STORES AND AUTHORIZED DISTRIBUTORS. www.nailsmag.com/fifi/23214 Step 3: Apply Amore Prisma 3-D Gel in White in three dots where you would like your fl ower petals to be. Using a nail art brush and holding it almost parallel to the nail, press your brush fi rmly in the 3-D gel until you feel it hit the nail. Give the brush a little push toward the outer edge of the petal and then pull it toward the center of the fl ower. Repeat this for all three petals. Step 4: Using your nail art brush, work on the outer edges of the petals and pull a small amount of the gel out to create a point. Using a dot of Amore Sculpt & Shine, apply a rhinestone in the center of the fl ower and cure. Apply Amore Ultima Sculpt & Shine over the entire nail and create your structure. Cure for two minutes. Remove the dispersion layer, do your fi nish fi ling, and buff the nail with a white block buff er. 62 | NAILS MAGAZINE | DECEMBER 2012 4
