Is there a trick? It just peels of after about a week. A: Yes. Before you even apply the base gel, perform a thorough dry manicure. Cuticle oil, massage, or anything related to hydrating the skin should be post- poned until after the gel service is completed — except cuticle softener; you can use that before. Finish by using the 100 side of a 100/180-grit buffer. Apply Nail Harmony Ph Bond so the gel will stay on the nail better. Next, apply Gelish Foundation gel very sparingly. Scrub it onto the nail plate, then smooth it out nicely. The nail should not look super glossy and shiny. After the base you should be able to still see some of the grains of the buffed prepped nail. Cure it for the recommended time and make sure the CFL/UV lamp has good, working light bulbs. Now apply the gel-polish color. Make sure to apply each coat thinly but evenly so that light can pass through and cure the product properly. Always contact a knowledgeable educator of the brand you have trouble with for manufacturer usage recommendations. — Bryan Vu, Hand & Nail Harmony Master Educator A Q & Vu >>>
