Every year we update the State Board Directory by calling, emailing, and faxing state boards directly.
Material is based on their responses, website data, last year's published data, and other public sources.
Not all information could be confirmed directly by the state board before publication. It is very important
that nail technicians be familiar with their state's guidelines and follow them diligently for their own and
their clients' safety. Use this guide to get in touch with your own state board, check on new regulations,
and to compare your state with others. We suggest you consult the board directly before making critical
decisions, such as moving out of state or adding non-nail-related services.
