Earlier this year, Beauty20 opened a unique 15,000-sq-ft. nail supply store in Garden Grove, Calif., and it's something to behold. Sections are divided by brand and each manufacturer decides which products to display in its space. Beauty20 also plans to host on-site classes and events in the future. As one shopper described it: "It's kind of like being on a tradeshow floor without being at an actual tradeshow." } { nails file At a July 9 ceremony in Las Vegas, nail tech and salon owner Rochelle Dingman was awarded the title Nail Professional of the Year at the 2017 North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA). Her striking Game of Thrones-inspired nail art won the praise of the judges of this annual photo competition sponsored by the Professional Beauty Association (PBA). "It was a team effort," says Dingman. Her daughter Phoebe, who is also a nail tech and works alongside her mom at Shear Fashion Salon, was in charge of hair and makeup. Photographer Ed Carlo Garcia came up with the concept inspired by Game of Thrones. In her acceptance speech, Dingman thanked Young Nails for their support over the years, and also acknowledged mentors Lysa Comfort and Pattie Yankee.
