64 | NAILS MAGAZINE | JULY 2016 S H O W coverage BEST LIL' NAIL SHOW Organized by Athena Elliott and Donna Schur, the Best Lil' Nail Show Texas held at the Humble Convention Center in April welcomed hundreds of nail techs and salon owners for a weekend of education, demos, and shopping. More than 40 manufacturers exhibited at the first-ever nails-only show in the Lone Star State. The Associated Nail Professionals also introduced Tech Talk, an event where attendees met industry leaders and had their voices heard while sharing challenges in an effort to help elevate the industry. Plan on attending this "not so lil'" show next year April 1-3, 2017. Texan Tenacity Pays Off at the First- Ever Best Lil' Nail Show in Houston CND's Jan Arnold (right) announced Kieu-Chinh as Creative Play's new brand ambassador. Essie's Callee Johnsen, Jeanita Spikes, Gino Trunzo, Cecily Ellis, and Dekina Henry sold out of the brand's newest pro-only product, Cuticle Peel. AII's Terry Burciaga and Tan Nguyen talked IBD's gel and EZFlow's acrylic products. Nail tech Kimberly Harr, founder of the Facebook group 3-D Fanatics, hosted the group's frst-ever 3-D nail art competition outside the social media platform. NAILS NTNA alumna Lauren Wireman introduced attendees to Wildfowers Nails products: specialty nail art brushes, silicone brushes, glitters, clear stamper, and design plates. } { nails fle Profle Nails' Traci Dungan (left) and Ami McClure introduced attendees to a monthly subscription service program that ships the brand's products to nail techs.
